The City of Lavonia is aware of a water leak on Rue Beau Rivage off of Rue Cezzan. Our crews are currently waiting for utility locates before repairs can begin.

Please be advised that it may take a few days to fully resolve the leak. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work to safely address the issue.

We have been made aware that someone is contacting vendors and falsely claiming to represent Downtown Lavonia/Main Street while requesting payment or deposits for festival participation.

Please know:

❌ The City of Lavonia will NEVER call you and ask for payment over the phone for any festival, market, or event.

❌ We do not collect vendor fees through phone calls, Venmo, Cash App, gift cards, or any other unofficial payment methods.

✅ Official communication regarding Downtown Lavonia events will come directly from City of Lavonia email addresses, including:

• [email protected]

If you receive a suspicious phone call, email, text message, or social media message requesting payment, please do not provide any personal or financial information.

If you are unsure whether a communication is legitimate, contact us directly before sending any payment.

It is extremely disappointing that someone would attempt to take advantage of small businesses and vendors in this way. We value our vendor community and want to ensure everyone stays informed and protected.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with fellow vendors and business owners.

☀️ As temperatures continue to rise, the City of Lavonia wants to remind everyone to take care of themselves, their families, their pets, and their neighbors during the hot summer days ahead. 💙🐾

This week we are celebrating Municipal Court Clerk’s week June 8th-12th for our very own Maria Roberts. In addition to being a mother and wife, Mrs. Maria has been faithfully and diligently serving the citizens of Lavonia since 2023.

Outside of the office you can find Mrs. Maria calling the Dawgs during football season or hanging out on the farm with her sweet animals.

As Municipal Court Clerk, Mrs. Maria is tasked with handling and recording payments for all issued traffic citation fines issued by the city’s police department and managing the monthly municipal court docket. She also maintains records for court notices and bench warrants, working closely in conjunction with the Judge and city police staff.

We greatly appreciate Mrs. Maria’s continual hard work and dedication to the city and its citizens.
