⚠️🥵⛈️ The hottest heat indices so far this year are expected today, topping out near 100° this afternoon in most areas. Near record breaking highs in the low to mid 90s. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Friday for portions of the area, as similarly hot and humid conditions are expected again on Friday.

Similar to Wednesday, scattered storms are forecast to develop late afternoon/evening. However the risk of severe storms will be greater today, with damaging winds as the main threat.

Sorry again for anybody that was scheduled to attend the Water Rescue Class this Weekend. FYI, The Lehigh Emergency Services Training Academy does a great job of scheduling courses.
Generally, the courses are available to anybody (from any county) with the exception of the Fire 1 classes and a few others that get filled up by Lehigh County Responders. Check out their website

For anybody who is signed up for the water rescue class this weekend at our station that class has been canceled.

Congratulations to Junior Firefighter Nathan G. Last evening he completed his probationary firefighter packet.

When a new member joins, in addition to hours of structured training offered by the State Fire Academy, we require that firefighter to become proficent in operations and equipment specific to our organization.

Nathan completed all 60 of these tasks in the 10 months since he has joined.

Great Job Nathan!
