Happy Black History Month!

NAEYC offers a list of resources celebrating important strides made in early childhood education by historic Black educators and sharing reflections from current early educators. Stories shared include those of early childhood teacher Betsey Stockton, the scholar Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark, and educator Dr. Susie Weems Wheeler.

All campuses of Richmond Community College will be on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The College will open at 9:30 a.m.

We have been closely monitoring the tropical weather system currently approaching our region. According to the latest reports, the weather is not expected to impact our area until later in the day. As a result, all Scotland County Schools will continue to operate on a regular schedule today, Monday, September 16, 2024.
However, out of an abundance of caution, all afterschool activities and events, including sports practices, games, and extracurricular programs, are canceled for today. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community.
In addition, because of the amount of rain expected and the potential for flooding, we will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff on Tuesday morning.
