The United Way of Scotland County is happy to announce that registration for Safety Town for June 2026 is now OPEN!
Dates: June 15-19, 2026
Time: 8:30AM-12:00PM
Location: Laurinburg Presbyterian Church
Cost: $20 (includes all educational materials, T-shirt, & daily snack)
Safety Town is a one-week program for pre-kindergarten children that teaches safety lessons on animals, strangers, traffic, pedestrians, fire, bicycles, bus, water and guns. The program is designed to provide age appropriate, hands-on safety education for children entering pre- kindergarten/kindergarten in the fall. The students will participate in activities that encourage safety, including games, songs, puzzles, stories and art. Police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel and other trained volunteers will take part in teaching the children.
