🚨🏅 LIFESAVER AWARD 🏅🚨

Please join us in recognizing Telecommunicator Robbie Mendoza for receiving the Lifesaver Award for her outstanding actions on April 26, 2026.

During a call involving an unconscious patient, Robbie quickly took control of the situation and began providing emergency medical instructions to the caller. While on the line, the patient stopped breathing. Remaining calm under pressure, Robbie immediately initiated CPR instructions and continued guiding lifesaving efforts until responders arrived.

Thanks to Robbie’s quick thinking, professionalism, and ability to stay composed in a critical moment, the patient regained consciousness and was alert and talking before the call even ended.

This is a powerful reminder that telecommunicators the very first first responders — making life-saving decisions and providing critical care before help arrives on scene.

We are incredibly proud of Robbie and grateful for her dedication to serving our community. Congratulations, Robbie, on this well-deserved recognition! 💙🎧👏

💙👮 National Police Week Spotlight 👮💙

When we asked our team who deserved recognition this week, one response said it best—all of the officers and deputies on 310s & 320s and 140s & 150s. The ones we’re in constant contact with, working side-by-side with every day… the ones who feel more like family than just coworkers.

From our telecommunicators’ point of view, what sets this group apart is simple: they’ve got each other’s backs. Whether it’s sharing advice, bringing a little humor to the shift, or being that steady, reliable voice on the radio—they show up in all the ways that matter.

One moment that stood out was watching everyone rally around one of our own. The support, encouragement, and genuine care went beyond the job. It was a reminder that this isn’t just a team—it’s a tight-knit group that looks out for each other.

They know how to laugh and keep things light, but when it’s time to get serious, they’re dependable, professional, and all in.

In one sentence: A solid group of officers and deputies we’re grateful to stand beside every single day.

We see you. We appreciate you. 💙

Today, we celebrate the incredible mothers who do it all—both at home and here in public safety. To the moms answering 9-1-1 calls, dispatching help, working long shifts, and still showing up for their families… we see you.

Being a mom is already a full-time job. Add in the responsibility of serving your community during emergencies, and that’s a whole different level of strength. Whether you’re on the headset, on the road, or supporting from behind the scenes, your dedication does not go unnoticed.

To the moms in our center and across all the agencies we serve—thank you for your compassion, your resilience, and everything you sacrifice to take care of others.

And to all the mothers in our community, we hope today brings you the appreciation you deserve (and maybe a little peace and quiet… but no promises 😅).

Happy Mother’s Day from Scotland County Emergency Communications! 💕
