SC Regional Housing Authority No.1 will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026 for inclement weather. No Housing Authority vehicles will be on the road. Please do not call the emergency number if you have a power outage. We can't do anything about that. Call your utility company. All other calls will be addressed based on weather conditions. All roads are currently very bad and housing authority vehicles as mentioned above are not allowed on icy roads. Hopefully no one loses power. Praying that everyone stays safe and warm.

Dear residents of SCRHA. we have had calls and concerns regarding President Donald Trump's freeze on federal grants. At no time has your assistance been in danger. Our regular operating funding is funded by the federal appropriations bill yearly. Federal grants are completely different type of funding. The only federal grants we receive are Capital Fund Grants. Those are designated strictly for large contracts such as replacing HVAC units or cabinets. Now those funds they will review for wasteful spending as President Trump said he would before elected. I'm certain the public housing program is safe. We have to account for every penny we spend on large projects and I assure you, there is no wasteful spending at our agency.

I would also like to mention other programs that were never at risk, SNAP, Medicare, Medicad, and Social Security.
The media tends to dramatize things that end up scaring people rather than helping them, and please don't pay attention to anything you see on social media. Your assistance is not at risk. You have my word.
