LHS Choral Auditions

LHS Choral Department will have auditions Wednesday April 1st and Thursday April 2nd for the 2026-2027 school year.

Please see audition information:

Day 1
Wednesday, April 1st
Vocal Auditions for Choral Department
4:30 pm - until all have auditioned
*Group Warm Up will begin at 4:30 with individual auditions to follow.*

Audition Requirements:

1. Complete Google Form below.
2. Prepare an acapella solo piece that best showcases your vocal ability and range.
3. Perform a major scale using solfege syllables and hand signs.
4. Perform a rhythmic example.

Day 2
Thursday, April 2nd
LHS Showstoppers Show Choir Auditions
4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Learn Choreography and Audition

*To audition for LHS Showstoppers, you have to be present on April 1st for the Vocal Audition. *

Keeping You Informed: 🌼 Spring Intersession & Spring Break Reminder – Laurel School District

Spring Intersession for the Laurel School District will take place March 16–20, 2026. Families of students scheduled to attend Intersession have already been contacted with that information.

All other students will begin their Spring Break early.

📚 Students Return to School: Monday, March 30, 2026

Benchmark assessments will be administered Monday–Wednesday, March 9–11, 2026
• Monday: 8th Grade Science
• Tuesday: ELA
• Wednesday: Math
Please ensure your child arrives on time each day by 7:40 a.m. so testing can begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. Also, please make sure your child gets plenty of rest each night so they are alert and prepared to do their best during testing.
