Golden Pages: Laurel’s Literacy Leap is proud to thank the Children’s Foundation of Mississippi for naming us the 2026 REACH Award Recipient for Jones County! We are truly honored by this recognition and remain committed to supporting our students, families, and community.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the MS Campaign for Grade Level Reading and the Center for Excellence in Literacy Instruction for their ongoing support, resources, and dedication to Laurel’s CGLR coalition.

We are excited to continue spreading the love of literacy, striving for student proficiency, and equipping families with the tools they need to support learning at home.

📚👑🚎 What happens when literacy, leadership, and community come together?
✨ Amazing things for our students!

Through the Golden Pages Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, we’ve been proud to partner with community champions to promote a love of reading across our schools.

👑 Mr. and Miss LHS visited Nora Davis Elementary School to encourage the 3rd-grade kings and queens, sharing why reading matters and inspiring students to dream big and read often.

🚎📖 A special thank you to the Laurel-Jones County Library for bringing Lottie the Trolley, giving students a fun, hands-on way to explore books and spark excitement around reading.

Together, we’re building strong readers and a stronger community, one book at a time! 💛
