⚜️🇺🇸⚜️ Our newest Eagle Scout, Brennen Corey, was celebrated last Saturday beginning with a morning flag retirement ceremony at the Laurel cemetary, where his Eagle Project was fired up for its maiden voyage. The firepit worked perfectly and the flags were retired with honor. Following the ceremony at the cemetery, we had an Eagle Court of Honor, where Brennen was formally welcomed into the ranks of Eagle Scouts everywhere. He expressed his gratitude for everyone who helped him to achieve this hard earned promotion. Congratulations Brennen!! You did it!! ⚜️🇺🇸⚜️

Our Boy Scouts spent last Saturday cleaning up the state land north of Laurel where people go to practice shooting. There were lots and lots of shell casings, as well as random garbage that people shot to pieces and left on the ground.

Good morning!

Today I am working on calling businesses to get donations for our upcoming fundraisers. We had talked at the Committee meeting about doing a "meal" of 1 hot dog, bag of chips, & soda or water. We'll also sell funnel cakes with various toppings. I could use some help with picking up the food once I get it squared away. I think it will be Laurel Walmart &/or Costco, sometime next week.

Also, I will be sending out a sign up today through Brandon's email for the fundraisers. It will be in 2 hour blocks of time. Please sign your Scout (& yourself if you have time!) up for some time. If you can do more than 2 hours, that's awesome too!

Let me know if you have any questions or if I'm forgetting anything! 😬😅

Laurel Tractor Supply has approved the Troop to have our 2 fundraisers there on Saturday, May 11th, and Saturday, June 8th. We will begin setting up at 9am and be done by 4pm. We will be creating a sign up for the boys to volunteer for 2 hour blocks and will have that out soon.
