Through the EDA of Jones County’s Career Coaching Program, we are also helping students at all four public high schools connect with local employers and prepare for their next steps in education, military service, or employment.

We’re excited to see local students exploring rewarding, in-demand careers right here in Jones County! ⚡

Jones College’s Basic Wiring class gives students ages 16 and older an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and discover whether a career in Electrical Technology is right for them.

Thinking about a career in Electrical Technology? ⚡

Last week, with the help of our local SJH Career Coach, we had the opportunity to welcome a South Jones High School student to the ATC for a tour of our Electrical Technology program and a look at the hands-on training opportunities available.

High school students who are interested in the Electrical Technology CTE program can get a head start by enrolling in our non-credit Basic Wiring class. This course provides valuable hands-on experience and allows students to explore the electrical field before graduation. It's a great way to discover career opportunities, build practical skills, and see if a future in electrical technology is right for you.
