What is the Definition of an Alcoholic?
“An alcoholic” is any person whose drinking has become problematic — meaning alcohol use causes harm physically, mentally, socially, or in one’s daily functioning. Despite these harms, the person continues to drink and finds it difficult or impossible to stop or control drinking.

What are the 7 personality traits of an alcoholic?
Often, someone who is abusing alcohol will also display the following signs and become:
Insecure.
Sensitive.
Impulsive.
Impatient.
Secretive.
Defensive.
Manipulative.
Easily aggravated.

We are excited to announce that we will be welcoming a rotating food truck to the Downtown Gazebo on Mondays from 11am–2pm through October!

Lunch in Laurel is designed to bring a rotating lunchtime option downtown while also encouraging more foot traffic and community activity in the heart of Laurel.

Different food vendors will rotate weekly, based on registration and availability. We are excited to continue finding ways to create energy, connection, and opportunities for both residents and local businesses in our downtown district! 🖤
