Today we celebrated the incredible Laughlin Class of 2026 as they crossed the stage and officially became graduates! 🎓✨

What a journey it has been… years of hard work, memories, friendships, accomplishments, and moments that brought this class to graduation day. We are proud of each graduate and excited to see the impact they will make as they begin their next chapter.

Laughlin Cougars are SHOWING UP! 🐾

We are excited to celebrate a major attendance accomplishment this year. At the end of last school year, our chronic absenteeism rate was 35.1%. Through teamwork, family partnerships, staff commitment, and student dedication, we have reduced that number to 20.7% by the end of this school year!

That represents a 41% reduction in chronic absenteeism making this a huge step forward for student success.

Attendance matters because every day in school creates opportunities to learn, connect, and grow. Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for making attendance a priority and helping build a stronger Laughlin community.

Great things happen when students are here! 💙🐾

Today marks a milestone moment for Laughlin.

Our seniors walked campus one last time…through the halls where memories were made, lessons were learned, and friendships were built. The Senior Walk is always special, but it never gets easier watching this group take their final steps as students here.

At the same time, we close the chapter on another school year. The last day of school is always filled with a mix of excitement, pride, and reflection. From our youngest learners to our graduating class, this year has been full of growth, resilience, and Cougar pride.

To the Class of 2026…thank you for the legacy you leave behind. You’ve set the standard, and you will always have a home here at Laughlin.

To all of our students and families—thank you for an incredible year. Enjoy a well-deserved summer, and we’ll see you back soon, ready to do it all again.

Congratulations to Dr. Moss on being named to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River Board of Directors! We are excited for this opportunity to continue strengthening partnerships and supporting opportunities for the youth and families of our community.

The Boys & Girls Club provides incredible experiences and resources for students through afterschool programs, summer opportunities, and activities that help students learn, grow, and thrive.

Today marks a meaningful milestone for Laughlin as, for the first time in school history, our students will participate in the 48th Annual BCON Baccalaureate Ceremony at the Thomas & Mack Center.

This special event celebrates graduating seniors across Clark County School District who identify as African-American and recognizes their achievements, perseverance, leadership, and future success.

We are proud to see our students represented in this long-standing community tradition and honored to celebrate this historic first for Laughlin.

Congratulations to our seniors for paving the way and creating new opportunities for those who will follow.
