Early detection saves lives β€” and making time for your health matters. 🩷

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, breast cancer is the second most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death among women in the U.S. Screening helps detect cancer early, when it is easier to treat.

Routine clinical guidelines recommend that women who are 40 to 74 years old and at average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every two years.

Prioritizing preventive care is essential to protecting the long-term wellness and mission readiness of our military community. Our healthcare team at the Laughlin clinic is here to ensure our service members and families receive the high-quality, dependable care they deserve.

Take charge of your health:
πŸ“ž To schedule your mammogram or learn more about screening options, call the clinic at 830-298-6470 or 830-298-6471.

Get your flu shot with TRICARE πŸ’‰πŸ’™
πŸ”—: https://www.dha.mil/News/2026/09/22/16/10/Get-your-flu-shot-with-TRICARE

Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself and those around you from the flu. And for TRICARE beneficiaries, there are three ways to get vaccinated at no cost:

πŸ“ 1. Visit a military hospital or clinic

πŸ’Š 2. Visit a TRICARE retail network pharmacy
Make sure the vaccine is administered by a pharmacist. If another type of provider, such as a doctor or nurse practitioner, gives the vaccine at a participating pharmacy, you may have out-of-pocket costs.

πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ 3. See a TRICARE-authorized provider
If you receive other services during the same visit, copayments or cost-shares may apply depending on your health plan.

πŸ“ž Before you go: Call ahead to confirm whether an appointment is required and whether the vaccine is available. Don’t forget to bring your Uniformed Services ID card!

You can spread the flu before symptoms appearβ€”or even without symptoms. Getting vaccinated can help protect those around you, and if you do get sick, vaccination may help make your symptoms less severe. Help stop the spread! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ«§

Have questions about vaccines? Talk with your healthcare provider. For more information about TRICARE vaccine coverage, visit the TRICARE Immunizations resource.
