Amendments 3 and 4 fail amid extensive pressure campaign from state officials -

It looks like Gov. Ron DeSantis has gotten his wish.

With more than 9.5 million votes counted, Amendment 4, which would have enshrined abortion rights protections in the state constitution and nullified the state's 6-week abortion ban, sits at just over 57% support.

Amendment 3, which would have legalized recreational pot and had the backing of Donald Trump, is at around 55.5%.

Votes are still being counted, but many come from conservative regions in the Panhandle.

AP calls Florida for Donald Trump, Rick Scott -

It was all but inevitable given the early vote totals. But with polls closed in the Panhandle, The Associated Press has officially declared Donald Trump the winner in Florida's presidential contest. The AP projects Scott to win a second Senate term as well.

With more than 9.7 million votes counted, Trump has nearly 56% support compared to just over 43% for Kamala Harris.

Scott, meanwhile, leads 55% to 43%.
