The Transfer Station will be closed July 3rd and 4th in observance of Independence Day! Normal business operations will resume Monday, July 6th.

Attention Residents of Latrobe

Please be advised that all recycling collections for the city will be delayed by two days the week of June 22nd-June 26th. The revised schedule is as follows:

Monday's recycling will be collected on Wednesday

Tuesday's recycling will be collected on Thursday

Wednesday's recycling will be collected on Friday

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The Transfer Station will be CLOSED on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. We will resume normal operational hours on Saturday, June 20th.

The City of Latrobe Transfer Station will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th. We will reopen for normal business on Tuesday, May 26th.

Please note: This closure will affect garbage/recycle collection routes. All routes will shift by one day:

🗑️ Monday – Pick up Tuesday
🗑️ Tuesday – Pick up Wednesday
🗑️ Wednesday – Pick up Thursday

Recycling Update:

The shop has just informed us that parts should be arriving today for the warranty repair to the recycling truck. We sincerely apologize for the continued delay and appreciate your patience.

At this moment, the truck is expected to be back in service tomorrow. All Tuesday recycling will be picked up no later than the end of the day on Friday. Please leave all toters out for pickup, as once the truck arrives, our crew will be immediately addressing any missed recycling. Wednesday's route will NOT be affected.

Dear Residents,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the ongoing issues with our recycling service. Due to the failure of the power steering pump and the ongoing delay in obtaining warranty parts for the City’s recycling truck, we regret to inform you that all recycling routes scheduled for Monday will be moved to Thursday, May 21st.

Please know that the City is actively working to secure a temporary truck to help us restore our regular schedule and prevent further disruptions.

We genuinely appreciate your understanding, grace, and patience during this challenging time.

UPDATE FOR TUESDAY, MAY 12TH RECYCLING PICK-UP:

All recycling scheduled for Tuesday will be moved to Thursday, May 14th. Wednesday's route will proceed as scheduled.

Dear Residents,

We would like to inform you that, due to a recall related to a failure of the power steering pump, our recycling truck had to go into the shop yesterday for immediate reapirs. As a result, today's recycling collection will be delayed. The shop has advised us that the repairs may be completed by this morning, allowing the truck to return to the route. If not, recycling will be picked up on a delayed schedule. Once we know if we will operate on a full delayed schedule, updates will be sent out. All updates can be found on the City's webpage, Savvy Citizen's app, and Facebook.

ALL GARBAGE PICK UP WILL REMAIN ON SCHEDULE.
