The Lathrup Village Police Department and Mayor Kantor had the privilege of attending the Southfield / Lathrup Village Optimist Club’s meeting yesterday where we heard from fifth graders about how important first responders are and which profession they would choose. Their speeches were amazing. Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren, Fire Chief Thornington, Southfield Mayor Siver and several Southfield Public School staff were also in attendance. The Lathrup Village Police Department in conjunction with Chase Bank and the Lathrup Village DDA are hosting a Fraud Awareness Workshop on April 29th at 10am. You will be able to meet with Detective Sergeant Huston and members of Chase Bank to discuss current fraud trends and how to protect yourself. It's free to attend!
