Upcoming Lane Closure on Southfield Road

Businesses, customers, deliveries, and employees traveling along Southfield Road should plan ahead for an upcoming temporary lane closure.

Beginning around June 8, 2026, portions of the far-right northbound lane on Southfield Road between Lincoln Drive and 11 Mile Road will be closed Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This lane closure is necessary to allow crews to complete water main upgrades as part of the City’s ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts.

Businesses are encouraged to plan ahead for possible traffic delays, notify employees and vendors as needed, and remind customers to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these important infrastructure improvements are completed.

The Lathrup Village DDA is now accepting applications for their Facade & Sign Grant Program. Eligible businesses and commercial property owners are encouraged to apply for assistance with exterior improvements that enhance storefront visibility and curb appeal for eligible facade and signage upgrades.
