Lotus also adores cats and dreams of one day being surrounded by pets she can love and care for in a home of her own. Looking ahead, she hopes to grow into a successful artist, building a future where she can share her creativity and passion with the world. At times, Lotus enjoys exploring watercolors, bringing her imagination to life in soft, colorful ways.

She would thrive in a supportive, nurturing environment where her creativity is encouraged, her interests are celebrated, and her bright, artistic spirit can continue to flourish.

Meet the Clark County Fire Department Protecting Harry Reid International Airport.

From live-fire aircraft training to rapid emergency response drills, these firefighters are prepared to act within seconds when disaster strikes. Veteran firefighter, Ted Leavitt shares what it takes to protect one of the busiest airports in the country and why serving Clark County has become a family legacy.

Watch as Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) crews train with specialized trucks capable of carrying thousands of gallons of water and foam, designed to battle intense fuel fires and save lives.

Expanding and improving services for the local children in foster care. Clark County Family Services and FirstMed Health and Wellness held a grand opening for the new pediatric clinic to provide comprehensive health services to the more than 3,500 children in the Clark County foster care system.

The new clinic is located on the Child Haven Campus. The clinic offers a full scope of pediatric services including primary care, dental care and behavioral health including adolescent psychiatry and mental health therapy. The opening expands a longstanding partnership between Clark County and FirstMed.

The clinic is open to all children in Clark County foster care, including those placed at Child Haven and those involved in the adoption process whose adoptions have not yet been finalized but who remain under County supervision. The clinic is staffed with an on-site primary care provider, dentist, and multiple therapists. Walk-ins are welcome, and both in-person and telehealth appointments are available.

County Manager Kevin Schiller, Deputy County Manager (also the interim director of DFS) Abigail Frierson and CommissionCommissioner William McCurdy II (the clinic is in his district) were all instrumental in helping make this worthwhile project a reality. They represented Clark County at the opening.

The ultimate summer experience has officially begun. Orientation Day is in the books for the 70 high school students stepping into the 2026 Clark County Summer Business Institute (SBI) internship program.

SBI is a unique opportunity to gain professional training and hands-on experience that prepares interns for future careers. Over the next eight weeks, they’ll explore fields like law, business, engineering, education, IT, and communications.

A massive thank you to all of our incredible community partners who step up every year to mentor, teach, and inspire the next generation of our local workforce. Let the internship season begin!
