This , we are looking back at a fantastic day at the Springs Preserve!
Bolden Officers had an incredible time connecting with neighbors at the Las Vegas Rotary Club’s Celebrate America 250 event. The celebration was packed with community spirit and featured a fun run, pancake breakfast, live music, games, and creative crafts. Bolden Officers truly had a great time engaging with everyone. Thank you to the Las Vegas Rotary Club for hosting such a wonderful event, and to all the community members who stopped by to say hello to our officers!

Thank you to everyone who recently helped make the NV Youth Network community event a success. We especially appreciate Officers Villa and Hernandez from the Bolden Safe Village Team (SVT) for their support and assistance throughout the event. They were hands-on, rolled up their sleeves to help wherever needed, and helped ensure the group stayed safe while creating a welcoming and positive environment. They were a great representation of LVMPD and the partnership between law enforcement and the community.

🦁 The Story Behind the Bolden “B” 🦁

Ever wondered about the history of the Bolden emblem? The “B” with a lion inside of it carries a deep meaning for our team and the Historic Westside community we serve. The “B” stands for Bolden, while the lion represents Bolden Pride. This reflects the deep pride our officers take in this historic community, as well as the definition of a pride of lions, which is a close-knit family. To us, Bolden is exactly that—a family. We use this emblem to show how proud we are of Bolden, our citizens, and the incredible work being done here every day.

The Bolden “B” was originally adopted under the command of then-Captain Gary Schofield and was created by then-Lt. Clint Nichols. Both leaders went on to achieve incredible milestones in their careers. Clint Nichols later served as the Chief of Police in Commerce City, Colorado, and Gary Schofield now serves as the United States Marshal for the District of Nevada. Today, we are proud to continue using the Bolden B and lion to celebrate the rich history, heritage, and daily dedication of all Bolden officers and staff!✨

Our officers were recently on the field throwing the football around with some incredible kids from the neighborhood! 🏈
It was an absolute blast connecting with our Bolden boys and girls. The kids showed serious talent, and our officers even got to show off a few of their own smooth moves!
Building these bonds and sharing laughs is what community policing is all about. Big thanks to all the future MVPs who came out to play! 🏈

The ABCD of pool safety includes:

A: Adult supervision is essential. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
B: Barriers like fences should be installed. 🛑
C: Classes for swimming and CPR are important. 🏊
D: Devices such as life jackets and rescue tools must be accessible. 🚨
