Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada Since 1941, the mission of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada has been to serve those in need — the most vulnerable — regardless of race, religion or creed.

We provide food, shelter and comprehensive services and inspire our community through collaboration, recognizing that each person is created in the image and likeness of God, and that God’s compassion transforms lives. This leading community resource offers help and hope with dignity as it strives to meet the diverse needs of men, women and children in Southern Nevada. Through the generosity of foundations, grants, organizations and individual donors, Catholic Charities operates 16 programs providing support to more than 4,200 people daily and encompassing four core areas: Family Services, Food Services, Immigration and Refugee Services and Homeless and Housing Services. We’re so grateful for people like Linda who use their talents to give back. 💓

A few months ago, Linda challenged herself to knit 12 blankets every month. Since then, she’s been busy creating beautiful handmade blankets and generously donating them to help those in need. 🧶

Linda recently donated another dozen blankets to , and we’re so happy that some will be shared with the children and families served by Loving Hearts Adoption Services. We hope these handmade blankets bring a little extra warmth and comfort to those who receive them. 💕

Thank you, Linda, for sharing your time, talent and heart with our community. We truly appreciate you! 🫶

Su***de can affect anyone and sometimes the warning signs aren't easy to see.

September is Su***de Prevention Month and a reminder that no one has to face their struggles alone. Knowing the warning signs, starting a conversation, and simply asking, “Are you okay?” can open the door to help and hope.

You never know when a conversation could change or even save a life. Listen. Reach out. Speak up. Stay connected. Together, we can remind those who are struggling that their lives have value and that there is hope beyond this moment.

This week, they joined us for our new Meals on Wheels Bagging volunteer opportunity and helped pack an incredible 4,200 meals! 🍽️
