The reception on Friday evening will be catered with food and drink, so dinner prior to arriving will not be necessary. Any requests for food and drink? John, I'm looking for Anis from what I can research it comes in two varieties popular in the Azores, "seco" or dry and "dulce" which is more sweet. Which would you prefer if I can find it? Anyone else have any preference for drinks (alcohol or non-alcohol) on Friday evening?

We are now down to 8 people committed to attend the reunion. All plans are still in effect. Reception inside a Masquerade Suite at the RIO starting at 6pm on Friday, August 16th. Followed by a visit to the Haufbrau House on Saturday, August 17th at 5pm for music, food and beer. On Sunday, August 18th at 10am we will meet for Brunch at the RIO Buffet. These plans may be altered by discussions at the reception on Friday evening. Reminder in the days before the reunion I will give everyone my personal cell phone number and ask you to text me so I can be sure I'm in contact with you. I'll text everyone with the room number once I've checked in shortly after 3pm PDT on the 16th.

Here is the latest update. We lost a couple of RSVP’s in the last week. Anybody know how to contact those people under “Possible RSVPs” or “Unable to Contact.”? I’m still waiting for a response from the Possible’s and obviously I’m unsuccessful in contacting the Unable’s. It’s getting close…Only about 68 days away from the Reunion. In a few days I’m going to purchase a membership in a Web based People Finder to track down some old friends from the Azores we’re not in contact with now. If I missed you on this list I apologize for that oversight. Everyone please help fix the list by giving me updates on these assumptions. Here’s where we stand. Please let me know if you’re bringing a spouse or significant other as well? Remember the reception is at 6pm on Friday, August 16th. Events are on the 17th and 18th.

Tentative plans for the reunion are as follows: 6pm August 16th, Suite Inside Rio Hotel for a reception hosted by Wayne Smith. 6pm August 17th https://www.hofbrauhauslasvegas.com/. We did this last reunion and it was great. Recommend Drew's Hot Dog Soup. lol
August 18th 11am, Rio Hotel for Brunch at a cost of $27 per person, all you can eat buffet. If ten or more people show we can get a private room.
After the Brunch you can fly out or stick around for more unorganized fun in Las Vegas.
Still trying to figure out some activity for Saturday Afternoon. Any Suggestions? All plans will be finalized in the month before (July) the Reunion. Any inputs?

I've booked the Masquerade Suite at the RIO Hotel for a Reception starting at 6pm on Friday August 16th. We have about 8 confirmations for the reunion. More people are welcome. As we get closer to the Reunion, I'll give everyone my phone number and information on the Room Number at the RIO. I hope if you have not already committed to attend that you can do so prior to August 1st. Thanks again and can't wait to see everyone. :)
