Headquartered in Nevada, That Adopted Girl Inc is a non-profit corporation established in 2014. That Adopted Girl Inc is designed to raise awareness throughout the United States about foster care, adoption and related issues including, but not limited to, youth homelessness, addiction and mental health. The That Adopted Girl Inc team raises awareness about foster children and adoption through even
ts, writing and but also supports related organizations that benefit these same children by connecting families with children, providing counseling for adopted kids and foster children, teaching foster children to live as functional members of society once they age out of the system, etc. team researches the transparency of each organization which funds benefit to make sure that they spend the majority of their funds on the claimed purpose. We also monitor the expenditure of donated dollars to assure they are going for the purposes for which they are intended. There are not a lot of guarantees in this world but one of the most natural given attributes of being a human is having a family. But somehow there are over 100,000 foster children in the United States of America that are family-less. This not only has implications during their childhood but for their entire lives. No grandparents for their children, no family to spend holidays with, no support system. Foster children age out of the system at the age of 18.
66% of aged out foster children wind up dead, homeless or in prison by the time they turn 19. In the U.S. we talk a lot about the children being our future and about family values. Standing idly by without acknowledging the thousands of children that do not have families... what kind of family values are those? Help us spread awareness, improve these children's lives and ultimately improve society as a whole, day by day creating one more high school graduate, one less homeless person, one less suicide, one less prisoner....one more family. That is truly treating children like they are our future. That is truly supporting family values.
