In YDSI, we know there are so many barriers that create high absenteeism rates, and part of our initiative in addressing chronic absenteeism means connecting families with resources in many ways! We have been busy at our schools, kicking the year off right with impactful resource fairs to ensure families meet with their community resources and leave feeling supported. Our resource partners always show up ready to help our schools and their families get what they need, from school supplies to free eye exams!

The City of Las Vegas Safekey Program at Ronzone Elementary School tried out TWO new CATCH activities!

🎈 Balloon Hula Hoop Pass: Participants partnered up and worked together to bop the balloon through the hula hoop and back without letting it hit the ground! Then, they switched roles and kept the fun going!

🌈 Hokey Pokey + Twister: Kiddos placed four colored circles on their hands and feet, then followed the caller’s random color combinations. Arms up, legs in the middle, one-foot balancing—the silliness was endless! 😂🙌
