Structure Fire on Pecos Street Results in Three Fatalities

The Las Vegas Fire Department, along with the Las Vegas Police Department, responded to a structure fire at approximately 2:37 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, on the 1300 Block of Pecos Street. Crews arrived to find smoke and flames visible and immediately began suppression efforts. A primary search of the interior was conducted, and two occupants were found and evacuated to the outside, where EMS and Fire personnel began resuscitation efforts.

The fire was controlled and extinguished by crews on scene. The two occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene, and a third was found deceased by the State Fire Marshal’s Office during the investigation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at the time of this press release. There appears to be no foul play involved in the origin of the fire. The investigation will remain active with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Las Vegas Police Department.

The occupants located inside the residence range in age from 21 to 22 years. These incidents are devastating to our community and impact a large portion of our residents. At this time, all next of kin have been notified. No names will be released at this time out of respect for the families affected by this tragic event.

Events like this weigh heavily on all parties involved, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families impacted. As information becomes available during the course of the investigation, additional updates will be provided. We ask that the community respect the families during their grieving process and provide support in any way possible.
