Thank you to the LVMPD officers who work at the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) for always supporting the LVMPD Law Enforcement Empowerment Athletic Program (LEEAP). Our team joined Cuts and Kicks Foundation at Sola Salons to help students ease into the schoolyear successfully, looking and feeling good!

Students were selected from youth mentorships and classrooms in our community to receive new shoes, a new ‘do, and make a bunch of new friends during an afternoon filled with food, music, fun, and motivation to have the best school year yet!

Thank you very much to Cuts and Kicks Foundation for inviting us to support such an impactful event, and to Sola Salons, Evolve Brewing, The UNLV Cheerleaders, House of Law, and Shoe Palace for making this possible!

We sincerely appreciate the time and amazing energy that the stylists and barbers gave to students and families - your support and smiles go a long way in helping young people look good, feel good, and do well in school and beyond!

Local organizations came together yesterday at the City of Las Vegas Government East Las Vegas Community Center for the Law Enforcement for Mental Health and Addiction (LIMA) Community Resource Sharing Meeting, a gathering hosted with our friends from the 8th Judicial Circuit Court that seeks to build the network of support available in our city by connecting partners with one another.

Programs, initiatives, ideas and group efforts were shared to continue galvanizing support for the many different resources that give back to our citizens - support pathways that can only be made stronger when we work together as a unified community.

We're thrilled to welcome a new cohort of UNLV Social Work Practicum Interns, who will further their studies experiencing the pivotal role that social work has in community-oriented policing.

Our youth empowerment, behavioral health, and unhoused outreach teams briefly summarized the work they do to help citizens pursue stable, successful futures, and welcomed them to the team with smiles!
