🔥 Namibia’s Wildlife in Crisis 🔥

A devastating wildfire has swept through Etosha National Park, consuming nearly a third of its precious grazing lands. Countless animals — including endangered black rhinos, elephants, antelope, and predators — are now struggling to survive as food and shelter vanish overnight.

This tragedy is more than just a loss of land — it’s a loss of habitat, security, and life for some of Africa’s most iconic species. The Rock Wildlife Foundation stands in solidarity with Namibian conservation teams who are working tirelessly to contain the fires, rescue displaced wildlife, and begin the long road to recovery.

We are currently accepting donations to support emergency feed, medical care, and rehabilitation for affected wildlife. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us rebuild what nature has lost. 🌍❤️

Let’s unite for Namibia’s wildlife. Together, we can restore hope to the heart of Africa.

Donate today to help us protect and heal.

Today, the world mourns the passing of Jane Goodall, a fearless scientist, a compassionate voice for animals, and a tireless guardian of our planet.

From her early days dreaming of Africa to the decades she spent living among chimpanzees at Gombe, Jane’s life was one of radical empathy and fearless curiosity. Through her groundbreaking research, she showed that chimpanzees are not mere curiosities — they are individuals with personalities, emotions, and complex social lives. That revelation reshaped how science, policy, and the public see our closest animal relatives.

But Jane was never satisfied with discovery alone. She brought her findings into the world, advocating for habitat conservation, animal welfare, climate action, and the deep interconnection of all life. She founded the Jane Goodall Institute and the youth program Roots & Shoots, inspiring generations to do what is right for people, animals, and the Earth.

HER LEGACY LIVES ON:

In science - Her work forever changed primatology.

In conservation - The institutions she built continue her mission.

In youth - Thousands of young activists carry forward Roots & Shoots initiatives.

In hearts - Her voice for compassion and coexistence echoes across the world.

Though she is gone, Jane Goodall’s spirit endures in every forest we protect, every animal we defend, every child we teach, and every act of humility we perform.

Rest in peace, Dr. Goodall. 🌿🕊

Its been almost an entire year since we saved this guy!

Little Billy Boat Shoes is THREE times his weight from when we admitted him in October 2024.

He still loves to visit the hospital and see his favorite nurses. He will never forget what they did to save his life.

We got two peafowl today that were rescued by Cedar Crest Farm and Feed.

One Peahen and one Peacock.

Our Blue Indian Peacock is missing an eye, probably due to Mycoplasma. We will treat the site with antibiotics. They both will be dewormed.

Soon we will move them in with our 3 Guinea Fowl!

We're taking in some of the pea fowl on Sunday.

A few are in need of some veterinary care and medication.

We are finishing building their enclosures now.

However, we could use your help!

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a huge difference for us and the animals we care for.

Exciting News from The Rock Wildlife Foundation!

We’re thrilled to announce that our Quail Release Program is officially underway! We have already begun hatching Coturnix quail, and this October we’ll be releasing our first 100 birds into a safe, approved habitat here in Ohio.

This program is designed to support local ecosystems, promote biodiversity, and give our community a chance to connect with conservation in action. October will mark the beginning of something truly special — the first of many quail releases to come!

We’re feeling incredibly grateful today! 🥹 A huge thank you to Monte Man Landscaping for supporting us and delivering a beautiful homemade chicken coop along with a ton of Retriever wire panels from Tractor Supply!

Your generosity means the world to us and helps us give our animals a safe and cozy place to thrive. For now, our 30 quail have happily moved into their new home until we’re ready to welcome some chickens!

We love seeing the community come together for a good cause. Thank you again, Monte Man Landscaping! 💚
