💜 Man what a week of celebrating Shawn’s one year of sobriety, we just want to say… congratulations again. 💜

June 8 marked an incredible milestone—one full year sober. What a beautiful reminder of what can happen when someone chooses recovery one day at a time.

Over the past year, Shawn has not only transformed his own life but has become a source of hope for so many others. As the House Manager for our Chapter 2 & Chapter 3 homes, he leads with compassion, accountability, and the understanding that only someone who’s walked the path can truly offer.

Your willingness to serve, show up, and give back to others in recovery doesn’t go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Second Story family.

Last night we spent Movie Monday floating in the pool watching the classic movie Big under the stars. 🌊🎬🍿

It reminded us that healing doesn’t mean life gets smaller—it gets BIGGER.

Turns out you don’t need a drink to make a splash. 💦

Every sober day is another opportunity to create memories you’ll actually remember.

Recovery is more than staying sober—it’s building a life you never want to escape from.

A year ago I’d be wondering:
❌ Where’s my dealer?
❌ Do I have enough to last the trip?
❌ Can I even leave town?

At least I won’t be asking if they can make one quick stop first. 😅

No chasing dope.
No wondering if the liquor store closes at 2am in outer space
No withdrawals.
No panic.

Today?

“Take me to your leader.” 😂

Thanks to sobriety, I’m free enough to leave Earth if I have to. 🌎➡️🛸
