HAND TALLYING OF WRITE-IN VOTES CONCLUDES; CANVASSING TO CONTINUE MONDAY

LAS CRUCES, NM- The Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office announced that the Election Board has completed the hand tally of write-in votes for the 2026 Primary Election and will reconvene to continue canvassing on Monday, June 8, at 8:30 a.m.

The hand tally of write-in votes has concluded for the following races:
•United States Senator on the Republican Ballot
•State Auditor on the Republican Ballot
•State Treasurer for the Republican Ballot
•State Representative District 38 on the Democratic Ballot

More than 24,700 ballots were cast in the 2026 Primary Election, including approximately 3,700 write-in ballots.

The Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to certify the election results on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Doña Ana County Government Center, located at 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, NM 88007.

Election results remain unofficial until they are certified by the State of New Mexico. Unofficial results are available on the New Mexico Secretary of State’s website.

POLLS ARE NOW OPEN!

All 42 Voting Convenience Centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Any registered Doña Ana County voter can vote at ANY voting location.

📬 Returning an absentee ballot? It must be RECEIVED by 7 p.m. TODAY. You can drop it off at:
• Any 24/7 secured ballot drop box
• Any polling location
• The Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office (845 N. Motel Blvd.)

⚠️ It is too late to return absentee ballots by mail.

📝 Same Day Registration is available at all 42 voting locations. Bring:
• A government-issued photo ID
• Proof of residence

📊 Unofficial election results will be available after 7 p.m. at DACelections.com. Results remain unofficial until canvassing and certification are complete.
