🪧🐮 This is your sign to stop thinking about it and come visit our cows. Angus, Brangus, Corriente, Hereford, Longhorn are the breeds we have in the South 20 Livestock Area because each of them have affected New Mexico history. Cows have complex and rich relationships with their herds, and you can see that in action Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thank you The Las Cruces Bulletin for an article that goes in depth about what it took to make Jardín de Tortugas Pueblo happen and captures the spirit of collaboration that nourishes it for the future. Visit the Jardín de Tortugas Pueblo this month before it goes dormant for the winter!

For years, visitors to the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum could move through the region’s agricultural past without seeing much of Tortugas Pueblo’s continuing role in that history. That changes Sept. 19, when the museum opens...

Make a hummingbird feeder at the Ag Wagon on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon! 🐦⛽🌺 Hummingbirds are important pollinators, and New Mexico is one of their favorite places to visit during migration, thanks to our diverse landscapes. These amazing little birds have to drink nectar every 10-15 minutes to keep their energy up, so your feeder can give them a place to refuel.

🌻🐢After the Ag Wagon, head to the recently opened Jardín de Tortugas Pueblo where you might see hummingbirds drinking from our feeder, catching insects, and taking nectar from the growing plants. Not only is this garden beautiful, but also, it offers fun self-guided activities for kids to enjoy in the garden. Explore the Museum's galleries and visit the livestock for a full day of fun too.

🎟️ The Ag Wagon program is included with regular Museum admission for children and accompanying adults. Ag Wagon is sponsored by the Friends of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum
