Las Cruces City Council recognized National 4-H Week (October 4- 10, 2026) at this afternoon’s City Council Meeting and presented local members with a Proclamation.

The 2026 National 4-H Week theme, “Beyond Ready,” reminds us that 4-H is building a ready generation in a world of change and equips young people with skills for the future while meeting them where they are today.

Happy National 4-H Week!!

It's National 4-H Week! We're celebrating the 385 youth and 121 volunteers in Doña Ana County who are learning, leading, and making a difference in our communities. 4-H helps young people build confidence, leadership skills, and real-world experiences that prepare them for whatever comes next. Thank you to our local 4-H members, families, volunteers, educators, and community partners for helping the next generation learn, grow, and thrive!

📢 ATTENTION!! There is no Mandaory meeting this year!!

Below is the information you need to know.

⭐️ Read the Rules!! They are on the website. Each species has their own rules.

⭐️ Make sure your check posted classes for any changes. Report to the office if you need a change asap.

⭐️ All sick animals must be reported immediately to your superintendent.

⭐️ Barns are close to visitor and non exhibitors after 10pm.

⭐️ Wrist bands must be worn after 10 p.m to access the barn.

⭐️ Any exhibitors caught drinking or doing drugs will be asked to leave premises and will potentially jeopardize loosing their sale slot.

⭐️ No scooter or ride on toys allowed on the fairgrounds.

⭐️ Animals must be taken care of until your departure. That mean feed, water and pen cleaning.

⭐️ All early releases must be approved and paper work provided to Lisa in the office.

⭐️ You will only need a release form filled out if you are releasing to the packers.

⭐️ If you have any other exhibits, please load them first before loading animals out.

⭐️ Animal must be shown to be placed on packer.

⭐️ Livestock Judging contest is on Saturday.

⭐️ Have your vehicle pass on your windsheild.

⭐️ Please make sure if your camp is set up where cattle walk through to give them room to get to the show ring.

⭐️ PLEASE be courteous to our staff and volunteers. We have all worked so hard to put a great show on for your all!!

🐷 Swine Pen Assignment

✔️Keep pens clean throughout the week.

✔️ No feeding in the wash racks

✔️ No changing pen assignments with out superintendent approval .

😃 Reminder to be courteous of neighbors with your set up space we will be tight.

🐑 Lamb Pen Assignment

✔️ Classification will be done at check in.
✔️ No leg wraps, tubes or blankets on any sheep for check in.

✔️ Need to be Rough sheared, as we will be checking for ringworm.
