Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico - Dona Ana/Grant Counties Contact us to enroll a child (5-17) or to become a mentor!

Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth so that All youth achieve their full potential. Becoming a Big is more important now than ever as COVID-19 continually changes life for our communities. Kids in your community need Bigs like you to bring support and instill confidence as we all navigate this challenging time. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves young people from age five through young adulthood in one-to-one mentoring friendships. Bigs and Littles hang out 2-3 times a month for a few hours doing normal, everyday activities, like seeing a movie, doing homework, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out! Each match is supported by a dedicated Match Support Specialist who is always there to provide resources and support specific to the Little’s age. With a Big in their life, Littles in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program are empowered to ignite their potential as they grow in their self-esteem, earn better grades, and develop a lifelong friendship with their Big.

This month, our matches across our school-based programs created special cards to show our appreciation for the amazing principals and school leaders who help make mentoring possible in their schools. 💚

We are so grateful for the leaders who open their doors to Big Brothers Big Sisters and allow us to bring the power of friendship, connection, and mentoring to their students every day. This month, we’re celebrating Bella (High School Big) and Soe (Little) as our Match of the Month! 🎉 These two recently reached an exciting milestone: one year together!

Over the past year, they have built a friendship filled with support, fun, and meaningful moments. Bella loves watching Soe grow into her own person and seeing her personality shine, while Soe appreciates having Bella there to help and support her at school. 💚

We’re so proud of the friendship they’ve built and can’t wait to see what their next year together brings! 🥳

Today, our BBBS staff stopped by Dutch Bros on North Main to celebrate Buck for Kids! For every drink purchased during the campaign, Dutch Bros donated $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico💚

We are so grateful for the support and for everyone who grabbed a drink and helped make a difference for local youth! Every cup truly adds up. 💚
