The American Red Cross has just put out a call for help, as they’re facing a dangerous drop in scheduled appointments, which is leading to a drop in blood donations. Review and comment! Last year, the City of Las Cruces held a week-long workshop to hear from the public about how the downtown should be shaped. More housing options. Safer, easier walking/biking connections. More shade. More lighting and public amenities. All that input went into a plan for our future, and it’s ready for review now. Have a say by having a read.

According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, food insecurity is hitting America like a hammer, with a remarkable increase, particularly among households with young children. It’s with this stark data in mind that Ana County’s Summer Lunch program means so much more to our community. Running until July 23rd, all kids ages 1-18 get a FREE lunch Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at our community resource centers.
