Las Cruces Public Schools administrators have been monitoring weather conditions overnight. School will resume as scheduled Wednesday, September 23, but we will continue to keep a close eye on any changes. Mr. Cantù’s orchestra students have been working hard on their auditions for the upcoming 2026 Regional Honors Orchestra…and the results have been posted!

A very special congratulations to Elizabeth Dahl, who has been selected as 1st Chair Concert Master Violin!!! This is an extraordinary achievement!

All selected students will participate in joint rehearsals with students across the region on the NMSU campus on November 5-6, in preparation for a final performance on Saturday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m., at the NMSU Atkinson Recital Hall.

We are very proud of our Eagles for putting forth their best efforts in their auditions! They all did very well!

✨Shining bright ✨like a diamond ✨ A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Custodial Team and our district PPD! ✨

This team that has spent the entire summer working behind the scenes to prepare Vista Middle School for another incredible year.

From scrubbing every classroom to waxing and polishing our floors until they shine like diamonds, our custodians have poured countless hours into making sure every corner of our campus is clean, safe, and welcoming for our students and staff.

Their hard work often goes unnoticed, but it makes a tremendous difference. Because of their dedication, our students will walk into a school they can be proud of on the very first day.
