The Burn Ban is lifted in Pawnee County Kansas at this time. If you had little or no rain in your area please be careful and be mindful of fuel sources and wind, especially wind over 15mph. We will be watching the forecast close and if wind is expected to pick up and be a problem we will put the Burn Ban back on. Controlled burn rules require notifying local fire dispatch at least 30 minutes before ignition and supervising the fire until extinguished. Only burn when conditions include wind speeds under 15 mph, no burn ban, and burning only during daylight hours—generally from one hour after sunrise to two hours before sunset.
