🎉This morning, September 9, 2026, our Town made history serving as a start point in Larkspur Community Park for a leg of the American Discovery Trail America Discovery 250 Relay. Congratulations to all relay participants sharing this historic day with our beautiful Town!

😎Runners and cyclists are heading to Palmer Lake and Monument, with some participants going the whole way to the Garden of the Gods!

💪🏻Mayor Mindy Kazurova will be running with our Town flag all the way to Monument to commemorate this wonderful historic day! Yana Kazurova, who created the flag design, is also among the relay participants!

🙏🏻A special thank you to the American Discovery Trail team, the Larkspur Fire Protection District, and the Larkspur Historical Society for helping make this an incredible day we will all remember!

✨ The American Discovery Trail 250 Relay will be passing through Larkspur tomorrow, Wednesday , September 9, at 7:30 a.m. It is a coast-to-coast relay of bikers, joggers, and walkers in celebration of America's 250th birthday.

If you would like to participate or support the relayers, there will be a short ceremony at the Larkspur Town Square flagpoles at 7:30 a.m. and then the participants will head to Palmer Lake.

👜Are you ready to shop ‘til you drop? The 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 + 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 is coming once again to Larkspur Community Park. This fantastic Larkspur Chamber of Commerce event runs Saturday, September 19, from 10 am-5 pm, and Sunday, September 20, from 10 am – 4 pm.
⚾Cheer on local teams! Every Thursday this September at 5:30 pm, 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 practices at Larkspur Ballfield.

💐Have you ever wondered who’s behind the stunning displays of flowers that adorn Town Hall, Larkspur Community Park, Larkspur Veteran's Monument, the Larkspur Free Library, and our Town’s streets and sidewalks?

🪻Meet Dana, Town Garden Designer and Landscape Gardener extraordinaire! Dana has been in landscape design for 45 years and has shared her expertise and eye for detail working with Larkspur since 2010. She fondly remembers helping tend her grandmother’s cottage gardens as a young girl in Indiana, a joyful activity that eventually became her life’s work.

🌼Roger, Dana’s husband, helps her keep the Town’s gardens looking sharp, but he’s quick to remind everyone that the artistry found in Larkspur’s flowerbeds originates completely from his wife’s creative and intentional planning.

🌺If you’re lucky, you might spot Dana or Roger working diligently here at Larkspur Community Park. Be sure to say hello and take a moment to appreciate Dana’s beautiful plantings that help make our Town so picturesque!
