Today, I addressed the allegations reported publicly concerning my conduct. I take these matters seriously and remain committed to accountability, transparency, and maintaining the public’s trust.

My focus remains on the work and the people we serve. During my tenure, we have worked to move Prince George’s County forward by:

• Modernizing the development process through transparency and accountability reforms
• Strengthening partnerships with County, State, and regional agencies
• Launching the Commission’s first-ever Youth Advisory Council
• Securing $8.5 million through our first Advocacy Day for community priorities
• Advancing urban design and data-driven planning initiatives
• Improving collaboration with Parks and Recreation and community development partners
• Expanding performance management and operational accountability across the Commission

I remain committed to serving our residents, supporting our staff, and continuing the mission of M-NCPPC with integrity and purpose.

We made it to New York for our AAA bond rating meeting with Fitch Ratings. Tomorrow, we continue the work with S&P Global Ratings. Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is on the move and continuing to build a stronger future for our communities.

Proud moment for M-NCPPC. We’ve been named a finalist for the 2026 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management—one of the highest honors in our field.

As a six-time Gold Medal recipient, this recognition reflects our continued commitment to serving our community through exceptional parks, planning, and recreation.

The winner will be announced this September at the NRPA Annual Conference in Philadelphia.
