Small businesses are the heartbeat of Prince George’s County.

I had an opportunity to visit White’s Barber Co. in Laurel, owned by Brian White. This shop represents the dedication, skill, and community pride that keep our local economy strong.

White’s Barber Co. is more than a place for a fresh cut. It is a gathering space where relationships are built, stories are shared, and community ties grow stronger. Businesses like this help shape the identity of our county and create opportunities for residents to thrive.

Prince George’s County grows when our small businesses grow. Entrepreneurs like Brian White show what it means to invest in the community and believe in its future.

Prince George’s County proudly celebrates the ICCL Annual Graduation and Eid Festival, a day filled with achievement, joy, and community.

We honor the hard work and dedication of every graduate who reached this milestone with determination and purpose. We also join families, friends, and neighbors in celebrating Eid, a time that brings hope, gratitude, and togetherness to our community.

Honoring Freedom. Celebrating Resilience. Inspiring Progress.

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth; Freedom Day, a defining moment in our nation’s history and a reminder of the strength, courage, and perseverance that continue to shape our community.

As we reflect on the journey from emancipation to empowerment, we reaffirm our commitment to equity, opportunity, and justice for every Prince Georgian.

Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a future rooted in unity and progress.
