Joey Stanger, who is fighting bone cancer, joined members of the PGFD and public safety partners from across our region for a special day at the PGPD Special Operations Division. Members of the department were on hand to greet the Stanger family and to make Joey an honorary member of the PGFD. Joey was presented with a firefighter’s helmet and shield, personalized with his football jersey number, and a letter and book from Fire Chief Thelmetria Michaelides. The A Shift crew from Station 802/Shady Glen then assisted Joey with a tour of a tiller truck.
