Emiten alerta máxima en Laredo por tormentas y posibles inundaciones

Laredo, TX. – El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional ha emitido una advertencia de tormentas severas e inundaciones para la Ciudad de Laredo la noche del lunes.

Además, habrá afectaciones en la región del Río Grande, donde se espera una inundación menor, incluyendo la zona del Puente Colombia.

Para hoy, se pronostica una temperatura máxima de 95 grados Fahrenheit y una mínima de 67.

Según el informe del domingo al mediodía, el NWS proyecta un 40% de probabilidad de lluvias y tormentas eléctricas, que podrían comenzar después de las 9:00 de la noche, acompañadas de ráfagas de viento de hasta 32 mph.

El martes se prevé un día soleado con una temperatura máxima de 80, y se espera otro posible episodio de lluvias el jueves, con una probabilidad del 20%.

El NWS recomienda tomar precauciones y ha emitido el siguiente mensaje de seguridad:

“Aléjese y no intente cruzar caminos inundados. La mayoría de las muertes por inundación ocurren en vehículos. Por favor, reporte cualquier inundación observada a los servicios de emergencia locales o a las autoridades, y solicite que esta información se comparta con el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional cuando sea seguro hacerlo.”
