Don't forget to see our friends at the Digital Scholarship Center at the Coe Library for these classes on photogrammetry next week!

Join the Digital Scholarship Center for a two-part workshop on the Basics of Photogrammetry.

In the first session, you'll learn the basic concepts of close-range digital photography (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO controls) to build 3D models of analog objects using photogrammetry as well as the basics of photogrammetric processing using Agisoft Metashape.

In the second session of Basics of Photogrammetry, we will use supplied photographs taken with calibrated scales to build a simple 3D model of a Greek Cycladic Figurine.

Shader experiments by intern Eric Horowitz!

These visuals are made possible with 's engine's shader graph, a system which allows new materials, textures, and effects to be created by harnessing and altering various data flowing through Unity's rendering pipeline, which transforms information about geometry and other scene-objects into pixels on the screen. By making small alterations to the data as they move through the standard transformations they undergo before being rendered, new effects can be produced in real time in highly efficient way.

Check out TAP intern Erik's work into using a tensor flow image classification library to input user generated we**am data (in this case, facial emotions) that, when classified, feeds messages into a Unity instance. This allows for almost endless user interactions within Unity.

Hi everybody! We at the Viz Center just wanted to update everyone on what we have been up to during self-isolation. We are fortunate enough to be able to perform virtually all of our work remotely, and have been as productive as ever.
