Laramie! 👋🏽

Hope you all had a good holiday season. I was able to spend time with family and friends and took a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of life. Now that we’re in the new year, I’m ready to get to work! If you didn’t catch last night’s city council meeting, I was sworn into office alongside the other new councilors. Council decided who would serve as members/liaisons to various boards and commissions, and below are the areas I’ll serve:

Human Rights and Relations Committee
Laramie Town & Gown Association
LCCC Advisory Council
Albany County Transportation Authority

I’ll be attending these meetings and am excited to collaborate with folks doing the good work here in Laramie. Want to get more involved in the community? Let’s chat! I’ll always be available here on social media, but I do have a new council email now:

Wow, what a ride! This time last week, polls were just closing and we were anxiously awaiting election results. I can’t thank Ward 2 enough for having the confidence in me to be your city councilor! This took incredible work from a dedicated bunch of folks who helped get me across the finish line. If I thanked everyone I need to, this post would be 40 miles long. I would like to give a special shoutout to Jackie Gonzales, who encouraged me to run. We did it!

While I don’t get sworn in until January, I am attending city council meetings and work sessions so I can stay up to date and serve you best in the new year. The mural behind me is just outside of council chambers, you should check it out! I’m excited to continue to meet city staff and community members who work hard to make Laramie the best it can be.

We have quite the journey ahead of us, and I hope you stick around to witness it and make positive change alongside me! I’ll be regularly updating social media on council happenings, invitations to get involved, important city updates, and more.

Hoping to make you proud, Laramie. Let’s do this!

Welp, folks, this is as good as I could get for an endorsement from Kevin. I told him he needed to earn his keep by posing with my yard sign, but he had other plans. Rightfully so, today is our one year anniversary of his adoption! Jessi and I adopted Kevin from LAWS, which is a great organization here in town, and couldn’t be happier! Campaigning is stressful, especially in this last stretch. He gives me some levity and reminds me not to take things too seriously! 🐾

Had a great time chatting with student voters and fellow candidates tonight at the ASUW candidate meet and greet! I heard a lot from students about safe and affordable housing being one of their top priorities this election. I’m with them! Go Pokes! 💜🤠
