Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Sergeant Chip Cirillo after 20 years of service!
Sgt. Cirillo began his law enforcement career with the Albany County Sheriff's Office in 2006, serving in the jail, on patrol, and as a task force officer with Wyoming DCI. He joined the Laramie Police Department in 2015, serving on patrol and as a task force officer with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation. A member of the Laramie Special Response Team from 2007 to 2026, he was promoted to Sergeant in 2025.
He instructed in many disciplines, including Active Shooter Threat Response, Emergency Vehicle Operations, and Tactical Medical Instruction, and taught hundreds of classes to schools, businesses, and community groups on active shooter response, bike safety, and Stop the Bleed.
A familiar face throughout Laramie, Sgt. Cirillo built relationships across the community and was a strong representation of the department during his tenure. From the classrooms where he taught to the organizations he worked alongside, he made a real impact in Laramie.
Sgt. Cirillo, thank you for your leadership and service!
