***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***

Two days ago, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing local person, Sabrina Geller. Sabrina’s car was found at the Vedauwoo entrance and her phone was pinged in the area. Since the report, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office has been actively searching for Sabrina using side by sides, snowmobiles, drones, and deputies on foot patrol. Several community partners have also provided their assistance in the search. Classic Air Medical as well as the Air Guard were able to fly their helicopters over Vedauwoo. Our office has been made aware that several civilian search parties have been forming to help with efforts in locating Sabrina. We appreciate the public’s willingness to assist but at this time we are asking the public to please remain clear of the area as to not interfere in the ongoing search operations. There is no motorized traffic on forest service roads and with all our efforts focused on locating Sabrina, we do not want to risk our resources having to aid another civilian. The Albany County Sheriff’s Office is doing everything in their power to reunite Sabrina with her loved ones. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and this community as we continue to search for Sabrina. For future updates, please continue to check the Albany County Sheriff’s page as this will be our main source of information.

As of now, this is all the information the Albany County Sheriff’s Office can provide. However, if you or someone you know has information regarding Sabrina Geller, please contact the Emergency Operations Center at 307-721-1814. This number is being used to gather information and not release information.

**Mason Fire Update**

November 20th 2023 - 3:30 pm

The Mason Fire is currently 90% contained. The fire has gone underground into the cottonwood root system. Since the extent of fire spread within the root system is unknown, declaration of full containment may not occur.

Albany County fire resources have secured the perimeter where possible and will continue to monitor the area. Due to the nature of this fire, it is difficult to locate where it has traveled, meaning that smoke and fire could reappear under the right conditions. If smoke is seen in the area, please contact 9-1-1 immediately.

At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation.
