The I Vision Program - Nez Perce Youth Project is a five year grant funded program to provide services, curriculum, social forums & incentives to build strong knowledge & skills for healthy marriages & relationships, responsible fatherhood, financial literacy, to increase youth leadership on the Nez Perce Reservation ages 13-25. I Vision will encourage youth to positively envision their future and to imagine a life without poverty, stress or threat.

Our Story

I Vision Program: engaging high school aged youth and young adults on the Nez Perce Reservation to envision & explore healthy relationships & marriage education while building economic security through financial literacy education. I Vision staff encourage their participants to positively envision their future and to imagine a life without poverty, stress or threat.

Through I Vision’s training & classes, participants learn how to maintain healthy relationships in all aspects of life, how to be financially stable, independent & debt free, and how to live a life in balance: culturally, physically, mentally & spiritually.

Additional services that I Vision offers to their participants are:

Mentoring & Visual Mapping Services: our staff will guide you to reach goals & make positive life style choices, we can also assist you in finding resources for crisis situations.

Higher Education Services: our staff will assist you with scholarship research, applications, personal references, meeting deadlines, etc.

Idaho Drivers License Study Sessions: our staff provides a fun learning environment to prepare you for the driver’s license test.

Workforce Readiness: our staff will assist you with job search, resume building, mock interviews and reference letters.

I Vision Program also has been involved with community events, collaborations with other programs and businesses, through these events we have been able to disseminate program information & resources throughout the Nez Perce Reservation. We have been involved in awareness activities like teen dating violence awareness, child abuse prevention, sexual assault & domestic violence awareness.

I Vision Program participates in numerous community outreach events, high school events, health fairs & job fairs. We collaborate w/financial education providers on Spending Frenzy Events that teach high school youth how to make healthy financial choices. We have also taught younger youth about money basics.

Also, through our diverse scope of work we have been able to assist the Northwest Indian College with cultural enrichment activities such as stick games, root digging and berry picking, while also teaching participants about native wellness and maintaining the Nez Perce culture.
