Airport Terminal Closure Notice

Today, September 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., the airport terminal will be closed as we gather to mourn the loss of former Airport Manager, Bud Ledgerwood.

Bud played a significant role in the history and development of the airport, and his contributions and dedication will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed.

Thank you so much to the laporte La Porte County Public Library for coming out to Aviation Camp 2026! The Library has partnered with us for several years now, bringing out the mobile classroom for a fun STEM lesson during camp. This year the kids learned about flight and designed their own kites! The mobile classroom is always one of the favorite classes during camp.

A big thank you to Garwood Orchards for letting the airport use a wagon during Aviation Camp again! Students have classes on both sides of the airport, and with 10-15 kids per group, a total of 60 kids, it takes more than a regular vehicle to get everyone to where they need to go.
