Troop Meeting!

When:
Sunday, August 18. (2-4pm)

Where:
Crego Park, Lansing

What:
Parkour skills and pot luck

*Will also bring canoe and kayaks, so bring doggie life vests, if you plan to get in water. We will bring grill and hotdogs.

Need: buns, condiments

To bring:
Beverage for you and your dog.
A harness if you have one
Doggie treats
Ideas for Santa photo shoot
A dish to pass

What: skills needed for all dog band

Bring:
Treats for your dog
Something that can be used as an instrument.

Dogs can't use paws to play instrument, so get creative about what could be an instrument and how it could be played. Ex:. Keyboard played with nose. Horn with bulb to squeeze with mouth. Bell's played by pushing with nose or other body part.

Sorry for the indoor meeting, but thunderstorms are expected on Sunday afternoon.

More and more dogs can be seen playing in parks, and this time of year, the summer heat can do more than dehydrate them.

We'll meet at Crego Park (1600 Fidelity Rd) and walk the River Walk to Potter Park!

Dogs should wear back packs if you want to work on your badge. Bring p**p bags and water!

Don't let the snow scare you! It's going to be sunny and 50 tomorrow afternoon so we're going on a troop hike!

When:
This Sunday, April 28
2-4pm

Where:
Parking and start of hike at public parking lot on south east corner of E. Cesar Chavez Ave and Turner St in Lansing's old Town. Next to Brenke Fish Ladder.

Some GPS still show this as,
216 E Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906
Others show it as 216 E. Cesar Chavez.

What:
A hike along the river trail.
Lots to see in either direction (north or South).
Plenty of dog friendly places to visit and even an ice cream stand east of the parking lot on Cedar Chavez.

Bring your dog's backpack complete with essentials, if you plan to log miles toward badges. Also plenty of clean up bags and water for your dog.

After a great meeting practicing our Rally Obedience skills, some of the Scouts went to BSA Pack 572's Blue and Gold banquet at St. Joseph Catholic School, St. Johns, Michigan. We had a wonderful time sharing our skills and dogs with them. What a great group of people!
