We’re deeply saddened by the passing of former Congresswoman and State Representative Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, a true Detroit trailblazer. She was a force of nature who carried our city’s hopes from the streets of Detroit to the halls of Congress, fighting fearlessly for justice, equity and opportunity. Her legacy continues to open doors for those of us who serve today.
