Who knew food exports could be so sweet?

Grand Blanc’s CINNAMOM joined MDARD’s International Marketing Program this month at the Summer in the Cities Buyers Mission in Detroit!

Since opening in 2013, owner Rebecca Nagy has taken her mom's special family recipe from mid-Michigan to markets across the country. The company recently doubled the size of its main bakery and has been featured on QVC and other digital platforms. Now, they’re ready to go global!

"We were excited to attend the Summer in the Cities Detroit Buyers Mission as we are looking for export opportunities specifically in the frozen/specialty products category,” said Rebecca. “We have so much appreciated working with MDARD and the one-on-one support in successfully securing numerous accounts across the United States. We started in Grand Blanc and are now in more than 20 states!”

Wine, Chips, Cheese and Michigan Potatoes.

Born from a simple idea, Wine Chips is pairing delicious, chef‑crafted chips with great wine.

Located in Paw Paw, Wine Chips has grown into a brand loved across the U.S. and is now ready to take things international. By attending the Summer in the Cities Buyers Mission in Detroit this week, Wine Chips took a key step toward this goal, connecting directly with buyers and distributors who can help bring the company’s products to new markets around the world.

"Connecting directly with buyers and distributors allows us to build relationships that can support our long-term growth and global expansion," said Founder/Owner Jonathan Strietzel, "We’re grateful for the opportunities and continued support MDARD has provided Wine Chips, and we look forward to continuing to grow our partnership as we expand into new markets."

Congratulations! We are proud to honor amazing companies working to expand their exports.
