🚗 Our staff brings the story of the Michigan State Capitol to communities across the state!

Students in the Upper Peninsula recently enjoyed a virtual tour with Capitol Historian Valerie Marvin at the Pickford Area Historical Museum 📜 They even had the opportunity to handle Capitol artifacts and experience Michigan history up close.

We accept requests for virtual tours and in person visits from organizations throughout Michigan.

The Michigan Capitol is fortunate to have supporters with years of experience in public service. 🏛️

Capitol Historian Valerie Marvin recently recorded an oral history with Capitol Commissioner Joan Bauer. Bauer grew up in the shadow of the Capitol dome, served on the Lansing City Council, and represented her community in the Michigan House of Representatives.

We are grateful for the opportunity to preserve and share stories from those who have helped shape public service in Michigan.
