The way to deal with plastic bags? Never place them in your curbside cart! Take them to a grocery store instead. When you keep your recyclables loose in your curbside cart, you’ll also keep recycling workers safe.

Time for takeout? Those paper beverage carriers are recyclable, as long as they’re clean! However, most plastic and all foam takeout containers cannot be recycled curbside.

Check with your local drop-off location to see if it accepts these items.
